A fantastic original pair of vintage factory metal pigeon holes, full of character and wonderful industrial patina.

These substantial storage units retain their original layered paintwork, hand-painted numbering and plenty of honest wear from years of use. The combination of faded red and brown paint with the contrasting dark numbered strips gives them a particularly good industrial look.

Each unit has nine open compartments, giving a total of eighteen pigeon holes between the pair. The original numbered metal strips remain across the fronts, with the hand-painted numbers still visible.

The original paintwork has naturally aged and worn over the years, with layers of faded red, brown and darker tones showing through. There are scratches, scuffs, marks, areas of surface wear and exposed metal throughout — all part of the character and history of these pieces.

The units have been gently waxed to enhance the depth and character of the original paintwork and naturally developed patina, while retaining their completely original industrial finish.

A wonderful example of original factory furniture, with all the marks, wear and character that come from years of practical use.

Perfect for a hallway, boot room, utility space, home office or studio, or equally at home in a shop, workshop or commercial interior. Great for storing books, paperwork, records, tools or displaying smaller objects.
