British Manufacturing. Quality Craftsmanship. Since 1940.
Lawson's Yard is proud to be a registered member of Made in Britain, recognising our commitment to British manufacturing.
Established in 1940, we are a third-generation family business with over 85 years of experience in the timber industry.
Today, we manufacture our engineered wood flooring at our own workshop in Lancashire, combining traditional woodworking skills with modern manufacturing techniques.
Quality at Every Stage
Quality begins with the materials we select and continues through every stage of manufacturing.
Unlike businesses that simply import and distribute finished flooring, we manufacture our engineered wood flooring ourselves, giving us control over the entire production process.
From selecting and preparing the timber to manufacturing, machining and hand-finishing each board, our experienced team takes pride in the quality of its work.
Our approach allows us to maintain consistently high standards while offering bespoke widths, colours, surface textures and finishes.
Whether producing a contemporary oak floor or carefully restoring reclaimed timber, our focus remains the same: to create distinctive, high-quality flooring made to stand the test of time.
Traditional Skills. Modern Manufacturing.
Our manufacturing process combines generations of timber knowledge with modern engineering and production techniques.
We believe that machinery provides precision and consistency, while traditional craftsmanship brings character and individuality to our flooring.
Much of our work involves careful hand-finishing, allowing us to create surfaces and textures that cannot be achieved through conventional mass production.
It is this combination of experience, attention to detail and manufacturing expertise that defines Lawson's Yard.
Official Made in Britain Membership
